Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Armed Forces Service Center (AFSC), located at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport, since November 22, 1970, for traveling military and their families.
The AFSC relies on a volunteer workforce with the minimum age requirement of 21, to keep our doors open. All volunteers are provided with access to our electronic shift system, a designated parking area and an airport badge. Background checks are included in the airport badging process.
If your schedule permits, we kindly ask volunteers to sign up for two shifts a month.
Volunteer Duties include:
- Welcoming traveling military guests
- Checking eligibility identification
- Limited food preparation
- Offering Center amenities
- Light housekeeping
- Other miscellaneous activities
